Dende Somos Cambados esiximos ao Partido Popular que apliquen as políticas de igualdade que demandan as mulleres para acadar unha igualdade real e deixen de facer propaganda baleira

A folga internacional feminista do 8 de marzo, convocada polo movemento feminista para dar visibilidade ao papel fundamental e imprescindible das mulleres na sociedade, conta co apoio activo de SOMOS CAMBADOS, que fai súas as estas xustas reivindicacións e anima ás mulleres a secundar a folga ao considerar que é esencial cuestionar o papel que elas desenvolven nos catro eixos centrais da organización social: o ámbito laboral, estudantil, consumo e traballo de coidados e reprodutivo. A sociedade no seu conxunto debe entender que se as mulleres paran, para o mundo. Sen mulleres, a sociedade non avanza.

Esta folga é multidimensional, xa que as desigualdades afectan ás mulleres en moitos ámbitos das súas vidas: nos coidados (quérese facer patente que o sistema económico colapsaría sen o traballo cotiá de coidados realizado polas mulleres, polo que se reivindica que o citado traballo sexa recoñecido como un ben de primeira orde, esixindo a redistribución deste tipo de tarefas); no consumo (para visibilizar a necesidade de rachar coa lóxica de consumo capitalista que reforza a posición de desigualdade das mulleres e reivindicar a construción de estratexias de consumo alternativas, que respecten os dereitos e as vidas das mulleres); no estudantil (espazo no que se reproduce o actual sistema capitalista e patriarcal) e no laboral (ámbito no que os salarios, as xornadas que realizan, as categorías, e mesmo as posibilidades de promoción e por conseguinte as pensións, son diferentes en función do xénero).

A pobreza ten nome de muller con crianzas a cargo. Por estes e moitos máis motivos, sobran as razóns para que as mulleres secunden a folga.

Desde a Somos Cambados vemos no argumentario do PP para rexeitar a folga feminista un discurso cheo de incoherencias, síntoma do seu descoñecemento sobre o tema.

As declaracións do secretario xeral do PP de Galicia, Miguel Tellado, nas que afirma que a folga non é unha medida axeitada para combater a desigualdade, xa que reduce a problemática a unha guerra de sexos, “desviando o tiro” da loita pola igualdade dan conta tanto do seu descoñecemento da igualdade e o feminismo como de que a folga, alén dun dereito fundamental, é unha ferramenta de loita histórica.

Tamén cuestionamos desde Somos Cambados o cinismo inaceptable do PP de Ourense e do presidente da deputación (Jose Manuel Baltar), imputado por acoso sexual fai varios meses, manifestando o seu apoio á folga feminista, por considerar o xesto un lavado de cara da institución, sen o máis mínimo compromiso político coa loita polos dereitos das mulleres.

O Partido Popular non cre nestas reivindicacións polos dereitos das mulleres, por iso conxela o pacto de estado contra a violencia de xénero, recorta sistematicamente os recursos destinados a políticas de igualdade, promove estereotipos sexistas (como no vídeo da tarexeta benvida, onde as únicas que coidan son as mulleres), etc.
