O portavoz de En Marea no Congreso, Miguel Anxo Fernán Vello, e a deputada por Pontevedra, Alexandra Fernández, acompañados polos concelleiros de Marea Veciñal de Marín, Aarón  Franco e Xosé Manuel Dopazo, visitaron esta mañá a vila e os terreos de Monte Penizas con motivo das iniciativas parlamentares presentadas no Congreso en materia de Defensa.

Nos terreos do Campo de Tiro de Penizas, situados na parroquia de Santa María do Campo, Fernán Vello e Alexandra Fernández mantiveron un encontro con veciños e veciñas da zona para explicarlles o traballo realizado no Congreso e dirixido ao Ministro de Defensa. En Marea insta ao Ministerio a ceder gratuitamente ao concello de Marin os terreos e bens inmóbeis de Penizas para destinalos a zona de esparcimentos e de actividades ao ar libre. Ademais, pide o uso civil das instalacións deportivas da Escola Naval.

Monte Penizas debe ser un área para o desfrute dos habitantes de Marín

Fernán Vello considera que “é unha forma de compensar aos habitantes de Marin que levan décadas sufrindo o impacto pola ubicación na vila de grandes instalacións militares que pecharon Marin ao mar, ademáis de que restou áreas para uso civil como a de Monte Penizas”.

Os deputados de En Marea comprobaron in situ o estado de abandono dos terreos que xa non teñen ningún uso militar, “razón pola que deberían revertir na sociedade civil para darlles un uso”. Precisamente, hai uns días a Marea Veciñal de Marín logrou a aprobación dunha moción en pleno neste sentido, e que En Marea Congreso traslada ao Ministerio competente.

O portavoz de En Marea resaltou o peso poboacional de Marin, que está entre os concellos con máis habitantes de Galicia, “necesitado de poder dispór de áreas militares abandonadas como a de Penizas co obxectivo de darlle unha funcionalidade en beneficio dos seus habitantes”.
Ademais, recalcou que “é hora de que Defensa asuma un compromiso de compensación con esta vila que viu o seu territorio ocupado sen nada a cambio”.

Abrir ao uso civil as instalacións deportivas da Escola Naval e rematar cos privilexios

Pola súa parte, a deputada por Pontevedra, Alexandra Fernández, explicou outra das proposicións levadas á Cámara Baixa por En Marea para que se abran ao uso civil as instalacións deportivas da Escola Naval de Marín.

Fernández pediu un Convenio de colaboración entre Defensa e o concello para efectivizar esta solicitude. Ademais, plantexou a necesidade de poñer sobre a mesa a utilización civil doutros servizos públicos cos que conta a Escola Naval como os sanitarios.

A parlamentar redundou na necesidade de que por fin Marin teña algún tipo de beneficio pola ocupación da vila con instalacións militares.

“Lembremos que para ubicar a Escola Naval, requisáronse e ocupáronse terreos e leiras a pesar das protestas da veciñanza. Marin era unha vila mariñeira”, afirmou Fernández, despois de engadir que “neste caso trátase tamén de rematar con certos privilexios porque as modernas instalacións deportivas da Escola Naval foron feitas con erario público, daquela deberían poñerse ao servizo da cidadanía. Tamén é un modo de incentivar o deporte de base”.

Na cuestión das instalacións deportivas debemos engadir os servizos sanitarios dos que tamén dispón a Escola Naval, “rematando así cun modelo de uso endogámico para militares e familiares, e poñéndoos ao servizo de toda a cidadanía”, engadiu a deputada.
