O voceiro de En Marea tamén aproveitou a súa visita á comarca da Louriña para volver reunirse cos reprensentantes dos traballadores de Maderas Iglesias, que se enfrontan a un ERE de 140 empregados e a ameaza de liquidación, sen un compromiso da Xunta por mediar para que se garanta o mantemento dos postos de traballo.

Villares falou dunha “inviabilidade ficticcia” como pretexto dado pola empresa para desfacerse dos seus traballadores, “porque chegou a ser unha empresa punteira a nivel mundial, porque ten os mellores traballadores e porque hai mercado”. O voceiro de En Marea tamén cuestionou que durante anos o IGAPE concedese axudas públicas á empresa sen esixirxlle un plan de viabilidade, a modificación da xerencia e o mantemento dos postos de traballo.

“Nada disto quixo facer a Xunta e agora os traballadores vense nunha situación de incerteza ,cun ERE extintivo a 140 persoas e cun conselleiro que o único que di é que vai facer unha chamada de teléfono a ver que pode facer”, denunciou. “Dende En Marea queremos solucións por parte da Administración que sente as catro partes implicadas ao redor dunha mesa para garantir o emprego e a recuperar unha empresa que foi punteira no noso país e a nivel mundial”, concluíu.

Ademais, En Marea redacta en colaboración cos traballadores da empresa unha moción que será enviada aos oito concellos da comarca, de cara a que a trasladen aos respectivos plenos municipais para dar o seu apoio ao persoal de Maderas Iglesias.
