O pasado luns 6 de novembro na Comisión 3ª de Economía, Facenda e Orzamentos do Parlamento galego, o Xerente do Consorcio Galego de Servizos de Igualdade e Benestar, Perfecto Rodríguez Muíños, e a deputada do Partido Popular Marta Rodríguez Arias faltaron á verdade, con ou sen coñecemento de causa, en relación ao Centro de Día de Cambados. O primeiro porque afirmou que o edificio xa estaba equipado e a segunda porque dixo que existía un convenio asinado polo Concello e a Deputación para equipalo. Ningunha das dúas cousas é certa.
O Consorcio Galego de Servizos de Igualdade e Benestar asinou dous convenios co Concello: un para o equipamento e amoblamento do Centro de Día, e outro para licitar a súa xestión. O procedemento para equipar e amoblar o edificio comezou o 2 de xuño e rematou o 16 de outubro, pero o centro, a día de hoxe, segue sen estar amoblado ou equipado. No relativo á licitación da xestión non consta en ningures que ese procedemento se iniciara. Xa que logo, o Concello continúa agardando que o Consorcio Galego de Servizos de Igualdade e Benestar publique nas vindeiras semanas o prego coas bases para a súa licitación. Tendo en conta que a duración do procedemento de licitación e adxudicación do amoblamento e equipamento vai camiño de 6 meses, e o segundo procedemento relativo á xestión aínda non se iniciou, resulta xa practicamente imposible que o Centro de Día comece a funcionar antes do verán do vindeiro ano 2018.
Xa que logo, dende Somos Cambados instamos á Xunta de Galicia a que axilice os trámites administrativos pertinentes o máximo posible, porque se seguen actuando coa mesma lentitude que amosaron ao longo do ano 2017 rematará o 2108 e aínda seguirán sen abrir o Centro de Día.
O Concello cumpriu en todo momento co que lle pediu a Xunta. En Cambados queremos confiar na boa vontade da Consellería de Política Social para abrilo o antes posible pero a verdade é que están tardando incluso máis do que nós esperábamos. Confíamos en que non estean pensando en atrasar a súa apertura ata as vindeiras eleccións municipais de 2019 porque sería politicamente moi descarado, pero a estas alturas xa non o descartamos.
Somos Cambados seguirá metendo presión para que poñan o Centro de Día en funcionamento á maior brevidade posible tanto dende o Concello coma no Parlamento galego a través de En Marea. Somos conscientes do necesario que resulta para moitas familias cambadesas que teñen persoas maiores con doenzas e enfermidades que precisan atención nun centro destas características, e que agora están sendo atendidas fóra de Cambados ou en establecementos privados. Por iso, non pararemos ata conseguilo.
