En Marea presenta una PNL no Congreso sobre a necesidade de reabrir a pesqueira da cigala na zona VIIIc

O deputado Antón Gómez-Reino presentou este mércores unha Proposición non de Ley sobre a necesidade de reabrir a pesqueira da cigala na zona VIIIc., para o seu debate na Comisión de Agricultura, Alimentación e Medio Ambiente.

Con esta iniciativa, En Marea quere que Congreso inste ao Goberno a que, ante a situación de peche da pesqueira de cigala na zona VIIIc, que afecta a máis de 60 buques de arrastre de Galicia, adopte varias medidas.

“Queremos que a partir dos datos obtidos na Campaña Caracas, o IEO informe de inmediato ao ICES sobre a situación real desta pesqueira en base aos resultados de devandita campaña”, sinala Gómez-Reino.

Ademais, “queremos que se solicite da Comisión de Pesca da UE unha toma en consideración do devandito informe para a reapertura da pesqueira de cigala no ano 2018 na zona VIIIc., ou subsidiariamente, que se permita capturalas na UF 25, en base ao bo estado do recurso nesta zona, de acordo cos resultados da Campaña Caracas e informes aportados polo sector”.

A proposta de peche para 2018 e 2019 “foron valoradas moi negativamente por parte da flota galega de arrastre de litoral”, sinala o deputado de En Marea, xa que, por unha banda, “trátase de capturas accesorias de gran valor e, por outro, en termos prácticos, resulta dificultoso realizar unha pesqueira parcial sen afectar á súa captura”.

Estas medidas adoptáronse porque durante os últimos anos habíase vindo constatando unha progresiva disminución de captúralas de cigala, o que levou á errónea conclusión de que iso era debido á escaseza do recurso no caladero, provocando a pechadura da pesquería.

Con todo, o sector, coa colaboración de técnicos do IEO e da Consellería do Mar da Xunta de Galicia, realizaron un informe no que se constata que non só existe cigala no caladoiro, senón que se aprecian sinais de recuperación deste recurso, polo que a medida do peche total da pesquería “resulta totalmente innecesaria”.
