A Asemblea da Plataforma Cidadá Somos Cambados elixiu na noite do venres a Constantino Cordal Rodriguez como candidato á alcaldía nas próximas eleccións do 24 de maio. Na votación, Tino Cordal obtivo a unanimidade dos votos. O candidato á alcaldía de Somos Cambados, de 45 anos, está casado e ten dúas fillas. É natural de Fefiñáns aínda que reside en Oubiña dende fai 9 anos..

Tino Cordal Candidato Somos CambadosEstudou no Colexio Antonio Magariños, Salesianos de Castrelo, Instituto Ramón Cabanillas, Universidade Complutense de Madrid (licenciatura e doutorado en Ciencias Políticas e Socioloxía), Universidade de Santa Cruz, California (relacións internacionais) e Universidade Católica de Lovaina, Bélxica (máster en administración pública). Tamén realizou estadías de investigación nas universidades de Leiden (Holanda), Moscú, La Habana, Budapest e durante un ano na Universidade de Minho en Braga (Portugal).

Exerce como profesor e investigador de Ciencia Política e da Administración na Universidade de Vigo dende 2004, onde é secretario do departamento de Socioloxía, Ciencia Política e da Administración e Filosofía, e coordinador de prácticas do grado en Dirección e Xestión Pública. Ademais, imparte docencia en dous Máster na Facultade de Ciencias Económicas e Empresariais de Vigo e na Escola de Economía e Xestión da Universidade do Minho en Braga (Portugal). Ten varios libros e numerosos artigos científicos publicados sobre Ciencia Política e da Administración, Unión Europea, Gobernanza, Políticas Públicas, Cooperación Territorial e a Eurorexión Galicia-Norte de Portugal. Fala con fluidez varios idiomas, sendo practicamente bilingüe en inglés.

Máis aló do mundo académico, tamén traballou durante once anos como representante de empresas do sector da alimentación (Pleamar, Transpesca, Wrights of Howth, etc.), posuíndo unha dilatada experiencia na comercialización e exportación de peixes e mariscos dos mercados fresco, conxelado e conserveiro.

Foi concelleiro na lexislatura 1995-1999, aínda que na actualidade non está afiliado a ningunha organización política. A plataforma cidadá Somos Cambados tamén aprobou na noite do venres o seu programa de goberno para as próximas eleccións municipais do 24 de maio, no que se inclúen “50 medidas para cambiar Cambados”. Nel resáltase o compromiso de Honradez, Participación e Igualdade, o afán por mellorar a atención ós veciños e os servizos do concello. As nosas prioridades serán a loita contra o desemprego e axudar ós cambadeses e cambadesas que máis o precisan.
